
The goals of this conference are:
- To be introduced to Dr. Still’s concept of the nature of vasculature.
- To learn the modern physiology behind the function of the vascular system.
- To understand the heart’s true function in relation to the rest of the body.
- To learn how to approach Osteopathic palpatory diagnosis of “vascular problems”.
- To become familiar with several approaches to treating the vasculature.
- To experience how changes in one area of the circulatory system affect the whole.
- To ultimately expand your experience understanding and resolving somatic dysfunction.

Join Maurice Bensoussan, MD, DO (Fr) FCA for a morning of insight as he shares his experiences with The Mechanism. This 3-hour intensive workshop style course will prepare the participant to more fully engage in the following annual conference material as well as in their own practices. The informal setting will allow for individual engagement with Dr. Bensoussan with this exclusive event. This pre conference experience is an additional fee of $149.00.
Dr. Maurice Bensoussan, Fellow of the OCA 2012, began his career in medicine as an otolaryngologist in Paris. After meeting and training under Viola Frymann, D.O. and other osteopathic physicians, he devoted his career to the study, practice and teaching of osteopathy foregoing surgery in favor of this form of treatment. He has directed courses in his unique approach to osteopathy in the cranial field in France and the U.S. since 2009.
Within The Osteopathic Cranial Academy, Dr. Bensoussan has served as course director for the Dancing with the Mechanism Course in 2010; Viscera I and II courses offered in 2011; “Orthopedic Posture and Primary Respiratory Mechanism” in 2012 and “The Cortex I” in 2018.
Now retired from an office practice, Dr. Bensoussan devotes his time to teaching and exploring the balance of health. He resides in Portugal with his wife a homeopathic internist, Anne.

Cancellation policy
All cancellations must be received in writing at the office of The Osteopathic Cranial Academy on or before 21 days prior to the first day of the course, Thursday, May 29, 2025, and are subject to a 15% administrative processing fee. Cancellation fees are charged due to fixed costs per person already incurred by OCA. Refunds will not be made for cancellations after this date or for failure to attend.
Liability Release
Participation in this program will involve physical activity, including contact by and with instructors and other participants. This, and particularly activity involving physical diagnostics and manual therapeutics, could possibly entail risks for participants of new injury or aggravation of pre-existing conditions.
By applying to participate, the applicant acknowledges and assumes the risk associated with participating in the laboratory sessions and agrees to hold The Osteopathic Cranial Academy and fellow participants harmless indemnify, defend and free of liability from and against any damage or personal injury that might occur during or as a result of participation in this program. Furthermore, the applicant covenants to hold harmless, indemnify, and defend The Osteopathic Cranial Academy from and against any use or misuse that applicant may make at any time of any knowledge or information that applicant derives from participation in this program. The applicant should carry adequate liability insurance which would be activated in the instance of the use or misuse of this knowledge or information. Participants in the course are examined and treated by instructors following the course in case any problems arise from treatment by fellow students.
